Kurt T. Poway Expert Handicapper

#3 Kurt T. Poway
Oddsboard

Verified since 12/9/2008

Season:
+$66,930
You can plan to stay ahead of the books this year with the sharp eye of Kurt Poway. K.T.P. has been a top performer at Oddsboard from the start. The OB Experts are known for profiting off football and Kurt has ranked at the top by out performing most experts online. Ask Kurt where he got his skills and he will tell you that "I watch sports, I watch A LOT of sports". Kurt knows that the sportsbooks have the same information (trends and ratings) as handicappers and the real value from a handicapper comes from raw instincts. These instincts are honed from following and researching every game which allows Kurt to immediately spot favorable lines and hit the sportsbooks when opportunity exists. Finally Kurt passes on these few words of wisdom. "Remember, there will always be a handful of daily selections worth attacking, but there are no guarantees on any wager and the key to long term profits is patience and money management".

Season:
+$97,265
Based out of Phoenix, Arizona, Patrick Adams is a former freelance sportswriter that has been a part of the sports reporting industry for over twenty years. Pat has combined his love and in-depth knowledge of sports into a lucrative career providing sports picks for his members. As a former free-lance sports writer, Pat was often asked to appear on Sports Edge hosted by Dan the Man. Patrick was an orignal member of Oddsboard beginning in 2006. Patrick has been handicapping major sports for over 25 years. "Like most handicappers, I felt that my research with sports reporting went hand in hand with sports betting. I take pride in my research and preparation for each selection I release to my clients. The substance and detail of my research still remains a key component to my pick selection. I'm a firm believer that any professional sports bettor that makes a living from betting sports does not use just one system, or any for that matter. Most old school professionals rely on their research, notes and experience".

Timothy Larkin Jr. Expert Handicapper

#5 Timothy Larkin Jr.
Cashin' Tickets

Verified since 3/11/2009

Season:
+$99,335

Timothy Larkin Jr. comes to Cashin Tickets by way of the financial world. With an MBA in Finance from Stanford University, "The Banker" is a formal Investment Strategist that worked on Wall Street. Tim found out first hand how difficult and stressful it is to be a strategist. With a long life ahead of him and a grim economical outlook, eight years ago Tim looked towards the booming business of sports investing. Tim comes from an educated white collar family that grew up off the coast of Oregon. Education always came first in the Larkin household and while Tim never got the opportunity to play organized sports, he was always an avid Bay area sports fan. Tim grew up watching the Oakland Raiders; the A’s and even the 49ers. In later years Tim’s interest began to shift from your average sports fan to a sincere interest in sports investing.

Tim began to dabble in sports investing in his late 20’s. He quickly realized the financial implications of winning. While his families support was not 100%, Tim’s education in finance began to provide him with returns. Tim learned early on how important it was to manage your finances or bankroll in sports betting. Tim’s wealth of knowledge stems from his insane appetite for reading. Tim began to school former college buddies and friends from back home with his success all of which eventually became his first members. Tim was able to develop his money management plan designed to optimize profit and use it to his advantage to feed the growing market of sports gamblers. After successfully showing a profit in eight straight years of sports handicapping, we are pleased with the addition of Timothy Larkin Jr.

Mike Davis Expert Handicapper

My path to sports handicapping was not a common one as I grew up in Chicago with very little education in my grade school years. I was fortunate that my step father relocated the family to Nevada for a job opportunity he received, and while it was tough, it changed my perception of success and my outlook on life. After high school I became a real estate broker and this is when I started sports betting on the side to supplement my income. I was never content with the amount of money I made and felt I could do more to reach my goals. I have been fortunate to have made some wise investments in real estate which granted me the capital and financial investing knowledge to invest in sports. I have been sports handicapping for over ten years and professionally for five. While I still hold assets in real estate, my primary investment vehicle is sports betting and sports handicapping. My drive is second to none and I will work tirelessly to make sure we profit each season from winning sports picks. My strategy is not to research each game on the board but only the action that I feel we can exploit and is worth our hard earned money. Sports investing is like real estate and nothing is guaranteed but I can assure you that my advice is backed by research and I will provide you with better odds of winning than if you were to attempt to invest with your own advice. The fact that 90% of sports bettors fail to make a profit tells you a lot about the difficulty in making money betting sports. One of the biggest reasons squares lose are they bet with the general consensus. I prefer to narrow down the big board to 20-30% of the odds I want to focus in on. My final predictions will usually end up around 10-20% of the entire odds available for that day. I consider myself an investor which means that I have to be careful with my money and rely on my data to help me make intelligent decisions. A sports investor understands the difference between betting and investing. One must use various strategies to locate the best odds.

Adrian Conners Expert Handicapper

Verified since 8/28/2008

Season:
+$103,345
My days of inhaling cigar smoke and stuffing my pockets with bet sheets while wasting my days away in sportsbooks are long gone. The internet wave has changed sports betting in many ways and has helped those who take advantage of the vast amount of resources at their fingertips. I was blessed to have earned a full business scholarship and graduated with honors when I was 21. My personality did not fit well into the pencil pusher cubicle type so I provided an opportunity for myself to explore the web's infinite amount of resources and bring my numbers game to the sports handicapping world. I am motivated by money and a small vendetta against the sportsbooks that got the best of me at an early age. I look to bring my success and knowledge to the viewers of Documented Handicappers.

Lyle Orten Expert Handicapper

I left my career as an operations analyst for one of the nation’s leading providers of technology and services to the mortgage and real estate industries to pursue my true passion — sports handicapping. Baseball has always been a major part of my life, and I had the opportunity to play Division III baseball for two years during my undergraduate studies. That experience taught me the value of teamwork, preparation, and accountability, lessons that continue to shape my professional approach today. As my passion for sports betting grew, I made the decision to focus full-time on MLB handicapping. Over the past four years, I’ve provided MLB selections to both public and private clients, developing a reputation for disciplined analysis and consistent insight into the baseball betting market. I’m committed to helping clients make informed wagering decisions throughout the MLB season.

Kit Wilson Expert Handicapper

#10 Kit Wilson
Sports Picks Forum

Verified since 5/16/2011

Season:
+$101,475
Kit Wilson had his first taste of gambling from the age of 13 while playing pool in Louisiana. A native of New Orleans, Kit is an avid sports fan and loves the rush he gets from gambling. His uncle taught him billiards at an early age and was able to use his charm to persuade patrons of a pool hall into suckers to gamble on games of pool. This action led Kit to a career of betting on anything "worth his while". Kit said the most he ever wagered on a round of golf was $30,000.00 and luckily for him he won because he noted he "didn't have the money to pay!" Kit now focuses his efforts on MLB, NBA and NCAAB and is based out of Nevada.
